Pricing and treatment process:

  • OC Lice Removal's process is simple. I come to your home in a discreet manner to check everyone and treat those that need it. Treatment consists of a manual comb-out to remove nits, I look through the hair with magnifiers and follow up by spraying an effective non-toxic natural product to kill live bugs.
  • I go over facts versus myths to make cleaning and prevention easier.
  • I have been in this industry for a very long time. I know exactly what it takes with a proven technique streamlined to be thorough and efficient. No matter what anyone tells you, there is no special machine or miracle cure to remove a head lice infestation. I have done thousands upon thousands of treatments, it always comes down to good old fashion nit-picking with an effective treatment plan and factoring in your circumstances.
  • I choose not to sell products because I don't want the overhead cost but I'll recommend inexpensive products to assist in prevention.
  • I do not charge by the hour or do add-on increments. I have straightforward pricing. One price for all, which is why I do not offer a discount.
  • My in-home appointments are first come first serve based on my availability for that day, I do not hold time slots for unconfirmed bookings (I book up quickly, especially during warmer months).
Note:

OC Lice Removal pricing is on the lower end. I have maintained honest and fair rates since starting our business in 2010. Nit-picking is hard work, it pays the bills, and by no means do I get rich. I enjoy meeting my families and helping others with my niche business, it affords me the ability to be self-employed and be in control of my own destiny. I don't put down other companies in my industry nor do I focus on what they're doing... I am very fortunate to have a loyal clientele base with referrals. I do me and I'm good with that. I wish everyone much success with their own endeavors.

Note:

Flat mileage of 25-45 depending on location with Orange County.

I will guarantee my work for 14 days as long as the following stipulations are met:

  • All family members with hair including spouse, nannies/ babysitters, boyfriend/ girlfriend, fiance/ fiancee, blended families, people living in your household, shared custody, close friends, and relatives who watch your children get checked and treated by OC Lice Removal.
  • Parents and Custodians must follow preventive directions after treatment is completed. A child's long hair should be kept in a braid or bun with no free-flowing hair. Spray repellent daily and check your child twice a week with the terminator comb (not the generic version that some sell, it does not comb out the nits well and it must say terminator nit-free on the package).
Note:

Treatment requires a team effort, our goal is to rid your family of head lice, not to maintain an infestation. Many of my clients get stuck in a never-ending cycle because they don't take my professional advice. We must work together, our success requires consistency on both ends. Fact, you will have people in your circle who will have head lice and won't do what it takes to remove them. Why you may ask? Some people don't have the time, finances, skill set, they can't prioritize, they're overwhelmed and they can't handle the level of infestation so they just let it go. Parents and Custodians must set clear boundaries with them to make sure to protect your investment. As much as I truly enjoy seeing my clients, I would rather see you be lice-free living your best life by not paying for my services again, which is why I tell the truth... I care very much for the families I treat. I try to assist to the best of my abilities because there is no permanent solution, as long as humans exist so will lice. I will honor my guarantee and come back out once within that 14 days for free if it is necessary to do so. I will provide a letter to your child's school or daycare stating they have been professionally treated and may return without concern of spreading head lice to others.

Head lice facts:

  • They don't jump or fly.
  • They don't carry germs or diseases.
  • They cannot live off your head without blood and body heat for more than 24 hrs.
  • Nits/ eggs don't come detached from the hair shaft, they're firmly glued close to our scalp because they need the warmth of our body heat to hatch.
  • Nits can't detach from the hair shaft and hatch at room temperature on any surface, they need to grow into an adult bug with a male or female counterpart to reproduce.
  • An adult female louse can lay more than 10 eggs daily after procreation, which means there are more cycles of microscopic eggs/ nits still growing and there needs to always be a follow-up treatment to catch them prior to hatching and stop the cycle.
  • Head lice do adapt to the pigment of your hair color which is why most cannot see them without a trained eye.
  • There is absolutely 100% NO superbug, it's the exact same head lice your parents and grandparents had to deal with (we just want an instant cure and it doesn't work that way).
  • Normal house cleaning will suffice, no need to purchase useless and expensive products.
  • There are only two reasons for a reoccurrence, either re-exposure or the initial infestation was not completely removed.
  • Putting your child's hair in a braid or bun, using repellent and ongoing head checks is how you prevent or minimize a reoccurrence.
  • Teach your child while they are young and ongoing to be aware of space, not having direct hair to hair contact with others because this is the number one way to spread head lice.
